On having an Epiphany.
Today I led worship and preached.
I wasn’t looking forward to it.
I even said,
“I’ll feel better when this is over”.
I did.
I do.
Not because it’s over;
But because worship is an act to be involved in,
not just delivered.
And because I had forgotten about the grace of God.
Epiphany is about the journey of grace.
Following.
Hoping.
Falling.
Getting back up again.
“Visit then this soul of mine.
Pierce the gloom of sin and grief.
Fill me radiance divine.
Scatter all my unbelief.
More and more thyself display.
Shining to the perfect day.”
‘Arise,
shine
for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord
shines on you’
Isaiah 60
